🔔 How to Manage Notification Settings

FlowHawk allows you to choose which notifications you receive and how they are delivered. You can customize notifications for messaging activity, case activity, and Do Not Disturb on both the web and mobile app.

Before You Begin

FlowHawk controls:

  • Which events generate notifications

  • How notifications are delivered (Push, SMS, Email)

  • Whether Do Not Disturb or muted rooms apply

Your device controls:

  • Whether push notifications appear

  • Notification sounds and volume

  • Device Do Not Disturb

  • Browser notification permissions on web

FlowHawk decides what to send. Your device or browser decides whether a notification is displayed and how it behaves.

Email

Email notification

You may enable one, multiple, or all delivery methods.

Push Notifications

Push notifications appear as alerts on your device.

  • On mobile, they appear as system notifications

  • On web, they appear as browser notifications if enabled

Push notifications follow your device or browser settings. If notifications are disabled at the device or browser level, FlowHawk notifications will not appear.

Notification Sounds

iPhone (iOS)

You can select notification sounds directly within FlowHawk.

Android

Notification sounds are controlled by your device. Depending on your device and Android version, you may be able to customize sounds through system settings.

Override Do Not Disturb

Each notification type includes an Ignore FlowHawk Do Not Disturb option.

When enabled, that notification will still be delivered even if:

  • FlowHawk's Do Not Disturb is enabled

  • The room is muted

This does not override your device’s notification settings.

Do Not Disturb and Muted Rooms

FlowHawk Do Not Disturb

Pauses notifications across all rooms and cases.

You will still receive:

  • High-priority messages

  • @‑mentions

  • Re‑sent notifications

These notifications are always delivered to ensure important updates are not missed.

Muted Rooms

Muting a room prevents notifications from that room only.

  • Other rooms and case notifications continue normally

Do Not Disturb Duration Options

  • 1 hour

  • 8 hours

  • 12 hours

  • Until I turn it back on

  • Custom (enter a date and time)

Notification Links

Notifications include a direct link which takes you to the room that generated the notification.
