If you’re logged in but not receiving alerts from your team, try these quick troubleshooting steps

Updated this week

Step 1: Check device notification settings

📱 iOS (iPhone)

  1. Open your phone's Settings → Apps

  2. Scroll to OmniLife

  3. Tap Notifications

  4. Ensure Allow Notifications is turned on

🤖 Android

  1. Open the Settings app.

  2. Tap Apps or Apps & notifications.

  3. Select OmniLife from the app list.

  4. Tap Notifications.

  5. Ensure notifications are toggled ON

Note for Android users: It is important to note that if you force quit the app on Android, you will not receive notifications. This is a common behavior for all Android apps, to ensure you receive notifications, make sure to keep the app running in the background.

Step 2: Check “Do Not Disturb” in the app

  1. Open the OmniLife app

  2. Tap More → Settings

  3. Tap Do Not Disturb

  4. Make sure it says Disabled

Step 3: Check if a specific room is muted

  1. Go to your rooms and look for a crossed-out bell icon next to the room name

  2. Tap the info icon (i) in the upper right

  3. Make sure Mute room is toggled off

Quick steps if you miss a notification

  1. Check your connection

    • Make sure Wi-Fi or cellular data is working. If you were in airplane mode or out of coverage, notifications may not arrive.

  2. Open the app

    • Launch the app once to refresh your device’s connection. On some phones, notifications won’t be delivered if the app has been force-closed.

  3. Restart your phone

    • A quick restart clears out temporary issues with the system that might block notifications.

Notification Exceptions

Thanks for checking your app and device settings. Even when everything looks right on your end, there are still a few common reasons why a push notification might not make it through:

  1. Network connection

    • If your phone was in airplane mode, out of coverage, or had a weak signal at the time the notification was sent, it may not have been delivered. Some notifications expire if the device stays offline too long.

  2. Temporary service issues

    • Notifications travel through Apple’s (iOS) or Google’s (Android) servers before reaching your device. If those services are experiencing a temporary delay or outage, some notifications may be missed.

  3. Battery or power-saving modes

    • On Android in particular, battery optimization or background restrictions can delay or block notifications. Even when settings look right, the system may hold back non-critical alerts to save power.

  4. CarPlay, Do Not Disturb or Focus modes

    • If your phone was using CarPlay, in Do Not Disturb, Focus, or Driving mode, the notification may have arrived but was silenced or suppressed altogether.

  5. App was force-closed

    • On some devices, if the app is force-quit (swiped away), the system won’t deliver notifications until you open it again.

📌 In short: Even when your settings are correct, things like network hiccups, system power-saving, or server delays can cause a single notification to be missed.
