This article explains how to use the UNOS option when creating a case and how to update donor data for an existing case.
Who Can Use the UNOS Integration
Any user who can create a case, and has access to UNOS, can use the integration if it is enabled for the account. Availability depends on your organization’s plan and configuration.
Using UNOS When Creating a Case
A green check () indicates you are currently connected to UNOS and ready to import data. If you are not connected, you will see a red connector icon (
), which indicates that the UNOS connection settings need to be completed.
If you see the red connector icon, select it to open the UNOS connection settings, where you can enter your Center Settings and log in with UNet.
Connect to UNOS
Select the red connector icon (
).
In Center Settings, choose your Center Type and Center Code.
Select Log in with UNet and enter your credentials to connect to your data.
Create a Case via UNOS Connection
Go to the Cases module.
Select Add Case.
Complete the required case information, including selecting a workflow.
To import data, select UNOS.
If needed, click the red connector icon (
) to log in.
Enter the relevant UNOS ID to populate case information, then click Create Case.
After the case is created:
Donor data from UNOS is imported into the workflow tasks
The imported data is applied to the relevant case fields
You can begin working in the case immediately
Refreshing Donor Data for an Existing Case
If you need to refresh or replace donor information, you can update donor data from within an existing case.
Refresh Donor Data
Open the case you want to update.
Below the case tasks, select Update Donor Data.
Similar to creating a case, choose one of the following import options:
PDF
Existing Donor
UNOS
Click Update to save the changes.
Using UNOS to Refresh Donor Data
If you select UNOS:
If needed, click the connector icon (
) to log in.
Enter the UNOS ID you want to import.
Click Update to save the changes.
Important Notes
Refreshing donor data replaces existing values with newly imported data.
The available import options depend on your organization’s plan and configuration.
The UNOS integration requires a successful login to retrieve data.
